How do I use iMessage when using an eSIM?
How soon before my journey can I install my eSIM?
The validity period of a TripSIM eSIM should be considered when booking your holiday.
To make it as easy as possible the validity period extends for11 months prior to activationof the eSIM, so that you do not have to stress about when to install.
Activation of the eSIM means that it is installed on the phone and you have started to use data.
The good thing here is that for those installing it in Australia and looking to travel, you can install and do the complicated bit before going away.
Data will only start being used when you arrive at your destination.
This way you are free to install eSIMs and they will be there ready for when you travel and automatically start using data.
How to use two eSIMs at the same time
Using two eSIMs at the same time can be useful if you need to use two different phone numbers or networks on a single device. However, not all devices support dual eSIM functionality, so you will need to make sure that your device is compatible before attempting to use two eSIMs. Here are the general steps to use two eSIMs at the same time:
- Check if your device supports dual eSIM: Check the device specifications or manual to see if it supports dual eSIMs. If your device does not support dual eSIM, you won't be able to use two eSIMs at the same time.
- Activate both eSIMs: You will need to activate both eSIMs with their respective carriers. Your carrier will provide you with a QR code or activation code to activate the eSIM.
- Set up dual eSIM: In your device's settings, look for the option to set up dual eSIM. The specific location of this option may vary depending on the device and the version of the operating system.
- Assign default SIMs: Once you have set up dual eSIM, make sure your primary SIM is assigned as your default SIM for calls, messages, and data. You can also choose to use the SIMs on a per-call or per-message basis.
- Make sure both eSIMs are active: It's important to make sure that both eSIMs are active and have a good signal strength to avoid connectivity issues.
